We are seeking a Supervisor in the Commercial Tax Services (CTS) Department to join our Chicago team. As a CTS Supervisor, you will be responsible for: 

  • Prepares and reviews tax returns, extensions, and projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual) 
  • Knowledge of Federal and State tax law
  • Perform tax research to resolve issues
  • Maintain frequent contact with client and handle day-to-day client relationship issues
  • Effectively communicates engagement needs to the client and handles day-to-day client needs, proactively ensuring the Manager, Director or Partner is apprised of any issues
  • Trains, develops and mentors junior staff 
  • Takes an active approach to building network (internal and external) and participates in Firm business development opportunities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred  
  • 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm 
  • CPA preferred
  • Possess advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws – corporate, individual, and partnership taxation   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong client services skills
  • Be highly motivated and able to work individually and in team settings
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Sureprep, XCM and Caseware is a plus
