This position is responsible for data compilation and analysis for the SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process for our IPS plants. This involves the responsibility for demand planning and compilation/maintenance of the key SIOP files; including forecast KPI’s, machine capacity utilization, and other analysis deemed necessary.  A critical function will be the management of our network capacity to ensure we maintain best in class OTIF amongst our customer base by developing timely indicators to allow cost effective, inter-plant support when needed.  Ideally, this position will reside in either our Winston Salem, NC facility or our Schaumburg, IL facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary person to report out on key customer demand planning trends by customer and by plant, as well as, on machine utilization by plant and by line.

SIOP Process

  • Responsible for sites demand and capacity planning process.
  • Support Director of Supply Chain to execute monthly process
  • Support sales, operations, and finance group

Demand Planning

  • Maintain monthly cadence to review customer demand trends
  • Interact with both the commercial team, customer, and operations team to gather valuable input to assist in developing the monthly demand forecast.
  • Develop the monthly demand forecast based on inputs such as open purchase orders, customer forecast, historic trends, and market trends.
  • Provide individual demand data for key customers to be used in customer reviews as needed.
  • Maintain all demand planning KPI’s by plant and by customer.

Monthly SIOP Process

  • Compile and upload all demand planning information into our planning system.
  • Compile and analyze all BI reports regarding demand planning and plant/machine utilization.
  • Review network utilization and provide risk analysis on supply.
  • Work with the Director of Supply Chain to complete the monthly SIOP presentation.

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of study, preferably Applied Math, Business Analytics, Finance
  • High propensity for data collection and analysis.
  • Detail oriented, able to set priorities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Microsoft office suite and Power BI
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on continuous process improvement and optimal service to customers

 LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Salary range: $69,000 to $87,000
