WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
Intern - Supply Chain Project Coordinator (8-12 month duration) will sit within our US Local Market Activity (LMA) team. The US LMA team works to provide legislative and regional packaging solutions utilized in McDonald's restaurants across the US. This role will help support our Manager, Sales Planning and Operations, with the coordination and execution of projects. Key responsibilities to include but not limited to the following:
- Work with cross functional teams to monitor and track tasks related to supply chain projects
- Maintain detailed meeting notes and track follow-up tasks with team members
- Raise risks when tasks are off track and may impact project delivery dates
- Review data provided by other teams for completeness and identify if requested information is missing
- Create basic analyses of inventory and shipments
- Ad hoc tasks as needed
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- 3rd year + (or recent graduate) in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (previous work terms or class projects)
- Preference for any experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or development (previous work terms or class projects)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify risks and propose solutions when tasks are off track
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in reviewing data for completeness and accuracy
- Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis
- Project Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively
Any of the following would be a plus
- Basic Supply Chain Knowledge : Understanding of supply chain concepts and processes
- Reporting Skills: Ability to create clear and concise reports on project progress and data analyses
