Pay Range:

$64.50 - $96.75

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a System Director-Nursing Operations to join our team. The System Director-Nursing Operations is responsible for leading enterprise nursing operational initiatives across HSHS, with a focus on translating analytics and strategic priorities into standardized operational execution across ministries. This role partners with system, market, ministry, nursing, finance, throughput, and operational leaders to implement workforce strategies, labor effectiveness plans, productivity improvement initiatives, patient flow and capacity management solutions, and system-wide nursing operational standardization. The role maintains oversight of the Transfer Center and ensures continued optimization of transfer operations, access to care, throughput, escalation pathways, operational dashboards, and regulatory compliance. The System Director-Nursing Operations serves as a strategic implementation partner to ministry Chief Nursing Officers and system leadership, bridging the gap between performance insights and measurable operational improvement.

Education Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related healthcare field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

Experience Qualifications

  • 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience is required.
  • 10 years of acute care of health system operations experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required or obtain license within 60 days of hire date. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
