The role of System Test Developer Co-op is located in Ottawa. Ericsson promotes and supports a hybrid workplace environment. This is a full-time position within the Customer Experience (CX) organization. Your main focus will be testing, troubleshooting, and delivering Ericsson RAN Access Network (RAN) products for our global Customers. You will also be expected to develop your already strong Cloud Native and AI skills to an even higher level, while developing innovative solutions that move Ericsson further along the Digitalization pathway.
The ideal candidate should bring all of these qualities, together with an engineering background, where one is able to demonstrate strong and proven analytical skills. Teamwork is an integral part of this role, and the candidate should have extremely good communication skills, and be energized working in a strong, team environment.

What you will do:
- Drive end-to-end system level tests in RAN technologies (5G & 6G). Is the product suitable to release to the Customer?
- Perform system level troubleshooting procedures. Is my issue related to product, or environment?
- Deliver software assessments based on a data-driven and analytical approach. Which parts of the data are critical to my decision?
- Transform our internal daily workflows around test processes, using GenAI, Agentic AI, ML, LLMs, and Python, coupled with RAN System Verification domain knowledge. How will AI be deployed within System Verification?
- Develop competence in technical domain. Am I continually upskilling myself?
- Drive continuous improvements of products, structures and processes. How can we reduce the lead time and increase the team's efficiency, using AI methods?
The skills you bring:
- An academic background in science or engineering
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
- Logical and critical thinking skills
- Experience with ML/AI framework and libraries
- Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools
- Strong self-motivation and an ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A desire to work with cutting edge technologies
- Proficiency in Python for AI / ML development, data analysis, and automation, is preferred
Additional Assets:
- NR & LTE knowledge or experience is desired (or a keen interest demonstrated)
- Exposure to AI tools, such as KIRO, is an advantage
- Experience with Git/Gerrit, Jenkins, and Linux shell scripting is preferred
- AI (Generative/Agentic) knowledge is an advantage
