Job DescriptionblueStone is currently helping our client, a manufacturer of retail commercial construction products, find a Systems Analyst to join their team immediately on a permanent basis.
The Systems Analyst should have a background in system engineering as well as strong business analysis background and experience.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure smooth and reliable operation of Microsoft Navision, IBM Cognos and EDI systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes; design and deploy new applications and enhancements to these systems
- Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Perform research to develop detailed selection evaluation criteria based on identified IT product requirements and cost-benefit/ROI analysis for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
- Develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
- Design and perform systems and security audits, systems backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the division’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to systems configuration, mappings, processes, procedures, and service records
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree
- 5+ years of experience working in Information Technology
- 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server Programming
- 3+ years programming Visual Studio 2008 or later
- Experience with .NET development using version 2.0 or later
- Experience with Cognos 9.x or higher preferred
Salary range is $83,000-90,0000 + competitive benefits package.
