How You'll Make an Impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical implementation plans.
- Evaluate integration capabilities and solution designs for feasibility and value.
- Develop detailed documentation and specifications for new and enhanced platforms.
- Estimate work efforts and support task prioritization and release planning.
- Perform initial device setup, including basic networking, system configuration, firmware management, and validation.
- Follow documented MOPs and standard operating procedures, making informed adjustments as needed to accommodate changing job specifications.
- Work across all layers of the device installation stack, including unboxing, physical installation, powering, configuration, testing, and re-boxing when required.
- Estimate effort, time, and resources required to complete vertical requests and communicate status effectively.
- Verify that all devices meet quality standards and project specifications before they leave the warehouse or data center.
- Maintain accurate records of configurations, versions, and device details.
- Monitor and assist in managing applications, device availability, network conditions and system reliability and performance, service and program maintenance and storage resources.
Working Conditions
- Mixed office, warehouse, data center environments with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and working in constrained spaces (e.g., floor pallets, racks, aisles).
- Ability to lift up 50lbs
What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; may require Industry Standard Certifications
Experience
- 3+ years of Application Development experience in relevant areas
- 2+ years of Network OSS application experience
- 2+ years of System administration experience
- 2+ years of Database support and development experience
- 2+ years in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) experience
Skills
- Demonstrated in-depth ability to conduct design sessions to specify solution designs for feasibility, cost, and functionality; create detailed documentation to functionally understand new and existing applications; follow and implement established change and control policies and procedures; troubleshoot application problems
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, testing tools, and
- OSS applications and software; choosing the appropriate lifecycle and the planning, monitoring and control of the systems engineering process
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Networking, Datacenter operations, or comparable infrastructure-oriented roles
- 3+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience
- 1+ years of experience with cable communications architecture, preferably in an ISP, cable provider, or similar service provider environment.
