Our Shared Services team, which includes People Operations, Finance, IT and Security, and Contracts, provides internal services and support across Ad Hoc. Shared Services works to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to the company's various teams and business units. By streamlining and standardizing support, Shared Services allows teams and business units to focus on their core business functions and achieve greater effectiveness internally and with the agencies they support.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will manage full-cycle recruiting across a variety of roles, partnering closely with hiring managers, program leaders, and internal stakeholders to support both active hiring needs and future contract growth. This role includes building proactive pipelines, supporting proposal efforts, and maintaining bench talent to ensure readiness for upcoming work and contract awards.

Primary expectations of a Talent Acquisition Specialist include:

  • Participates in recruiting and hiring manager meetings to align on hiring needs, priorities, and progress

  • Partners directly with hiring managers to understand role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring timelines

  • Manages candidate communication throughout the hiring process, ensuring a strong and consistent candidate experience

  • Maintains accurate pipeline data, tracks candidate sources, and ensures data integrity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

  • Supports reporting and pipeline tracking to provide visibility into hiring progress and pipeline health

  • Owns full-cycle recruiting, from intake through offer, across assigned roles

  • Builds and maintains proactive pipelines for current and future hiring needs, including upcoming contracts and growth initiatives

  • Contributes to recruiting initiatives and process improvements to increase efficiency and hiring effectiveness

  • Identifies hiring challenges and proactively escalates risks or blockers

  • Works toward hiring goals including time-to-fill, pipeline conversion, and hiring manager satisfaction

  • Acts as a trusted partner to hiring managers, aligning on hiring strategy and candidate selection

  • Supports recruiting efforts within government contracting or proposal-based environments, as applicable

Proposal & Pipeline Support

  • Supports proposal efforts by identifying and engaging candidates for contingent offers

  • Tracks and maintains engagement with candidates tied to pre-award hiring efforts

  • Builds and maintains bench talent pools for priority skill sets

Offer & Closing

  • Manages offer processes including offer presentation, candidate closing, and coordination with HR

  • Tracks offer status and ensures timely follow-up with candidates

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of recruiting experience (agency, in-house, or blended)

  • Experience managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and sourcing tools

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders

  • Experience supporting government contracting, federal, or proposal-based recruiting environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience recruiting in technology industry

  • Experience with contingent offers, pipeline recruiting, or pre-award hiring efforts

  • Familiarity with labor category mapping or structured hiring frameworks

  • Experience with ClearCompany ATS

In support of various state and city equal pay transparency laws, Ad Hoc job descriptions feature the starting range we reasonably expect to pay to candidates who would join our team with little to no need for training on the responsibilities we've outlined above. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and responsibility. The range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 - $100,000. Our recruiters will be happy to answer any questions you may have, and we look forward to learning more about your salary requirements.
