What You’ll Do 

Are you an experienced tax professional with a passion for exceptional client service and sophisticated tax planning? As a Senior Manager on our High Net Worth Tax team, you’ll provide personalized, high-touch service to high net worth individuals and families with complex tax needs. In this role, you’ll lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements, serve as a trusted advisor on sophisticated individual tax matters, and provide technical and team leadership while partnering with clients, firm leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive exceptional service and long-term relationship growth.

Tax Strategy & Compliance 

  • Lead and review complex individual income tax returns (Form 1040), including sophisticated multi-state filings, pass-through considerations, investment activity, and related entity structures.  

  • Oversee trust and estate-related filings (Form 1041) and advise on matters impacting wealth planning, succession, and family tax strategy.  

  • Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies related to income, investments, equity compensation, trusts, estates, wealth preservation, and closely held business interests.  

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on complex individual tax matters, multi-state taxation, and coordination across related entities.  

  • Monitor tax law changes, regulatory developments, and industry trends to proactively advise clients and internal teams on planning opportunities and risks.  

  • Review complex technical work, research, and planning analyses to ensure high-quality client deliverables.  

Client Experience & Advisory 

  • Serve as a primary relationship leader and trusted advisor for high net worth clients and families.  

  • Deliver proactive, strategic tax guidance aligned with clients’ evolving financial, investment, and long-term planning goals.  

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and exceptional service.  

  • Collaborate across service lines and specialist teams to deliver integrated solutions and a seamless client experience.  

  • Support practice growth through client retention, expansion opportunities, referrals, and organic business development activities.  

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff, providing technical guidance, coaching, and meaningful performance feedback.  

  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on technical excellence, development, and continuous improvement.  

  • Review work product acro ss engagement teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency.  

  • Partner with leadership on workflow management, resource planning, and team development initiatives.  

  • Contribute to training, process improvement, and knowledge sharing efforts across the HNW Tax practice.   

Who You Are

Qualifications 

  • CPA, EA, or JD required  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required  

  • 8+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including significant exposure to high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and complex individual tax planning  

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex compliance and consulting engagements  

  • Proven ability to lead client relationships, mentor teams, and navigate sophisticated tax matters  

  • Strong technical, analytical, communication, and organizational skills  

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a client-facing environment  

  • Proficiency with tax software, research tools, and Microsoft Office  

  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Estimated Base Range: $110,000 - $210,000*

*Base compensation offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
