The Teachers Aide will support the classroom teacher in early childhood education by assisting with activities, supervising students, and maintaining a safe environment.

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in West Dundee is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time classroom aide to join our preschool team. Essential Job Functions:- Support the Teacher in providing developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences across various subjects, including religion, art, music, literacy, science, and mathematics.
- Assist in supervising activities that promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child, aligning with Diocesan goals and objectives.
- Maintain a neat, safe, and organized classroom environment and assist in the upkeep of all educational equipment and materials.
- Practicing Catholic preferred with knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work effectively with the teacher.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
- Commitment to self-evaluation and professional growth.
- Professionalism in attire, communication, and demeanor.
Job Summary:
- Hours: 7:55 am to 12:10 pm, Monday through Friday, or 12:05 pm to 3:05 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Position: Part-time, unbenefited
- Pay rate range: $15 per hour

Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or experience in childcare/education preferred.
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff.
- Must pass a background check and meet all state and diocesan requirements for working with children.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to lift to 25 lbs.
- Requires outdoor supervision in various weather conditions.
