Technical Product Manager (Data Platform)

Location: Athens

Weekly office requirement: Hybrid, 1 days/week

Employment type: Permanent

At GWI we’re always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. Right now we’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to play a key role in our Data Product team in London. If that’s you, and solving complex technical problems at scale gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.

Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔

As our Technical Product Manager, you’ll sit within the Process pillar of the Data Product Team and own the evolution of our next-generation data platform.

You’ll help shape the strategy and lead on the execution of how we ingest, process, validate, govern, and deliver high-quality consumer survey data at scale. This includes accelerating our migration from legacy pipelines into our modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Airflow/Astronomer), while ensuring near-zero disruption to client delivery.

This role is critical to GWI’s future. Our Data Platform underpins everything we deliver to customers — from SaaS insights to APIs and AI integrations. Your work will directly impact how quickly new surveys reach clients, how reliably our data performs at scale, and how efficiently our internal teams operate.

Specifically, you will:

👉 Shape and execute the roadmap for scalable, automated survey processing on our Data Platform
👉 Reduce time from survey completion to client availability through workflow automation, validation frameworks, and release optimisation
👉 Lead migration from legacy pipelines to NDP, sequencing change to deliver early impact while maintaining delivery stability
👉 Partner deeply with Data Engineering, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, Research, and Data Operations teams to translate complex pipeline needs into robust platform capabilities
👉 Champion observability, data quality, lineage, and governance-by-design (including GDPR compliance and consent traceability)
👉 Balance technical excellence with commercial impact, ensuring platform investments unlock measurable client and business value

It’s also fun; we’re modernising core infrastructure in a live, revenue-critical environment. You’ll need to be comfortable making high-stakes prioritisation decisions, navigating legacy complexity, and leading through change as we scale.

What do I need to bring with me? 🧳

You’ll need to demonstrate strong product capabilities in technical, data-intensive environments. This is a role with significant architectural and organisational influence.

Here’s what the team will be looking for:

👉 Product management experience in data platforms, data infrastructure, or highly technical B2B environments.
👉 Strong technical fluency — comfortable discussing data modelling, orchestration (e.g. Airflow), transformation frameworks (e.g. dbt), APIs, and platform architecture trade-offs.
👉 Experience working with modern data technologies such as Bigquery, Airflow, Astronomer.
👉 Ability to write technical user stories, with clear technical requirements and data contracts.
👉 Demonstrable experience working with Data Engineers.

👉Confident stakeholder management across engineering, research, operations, and leadership.

👉 Experience owning or contributing to platform migrations or large-scale architectural evolution is a plus.

Equally important is attitude. We want people who think big (to make an impact), ask why (to find a better way), and show respect (to everyone, at every level, all the time). Those are our values, exemplified by our leadership team, and they’re a big part of what we’re looking for in you.

As a Disability Confident employer, we welcome applications from disabled candidates and are committed to making adjustments throughout the hiring process—whether that's extra time, materials in advance or a different format, breaks, an adjusted interview format, assistive tools, or flexible scheduling. We're happy to discuss whatever would work best for you.

We actively encourage applications from underrepresented and marginalised communities.

At GWI, you'll find a place to contribute meaningfully, grow professionally, and belong fully.
