You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, and platform product teams to define and deliver foundational capabilities that enable product velocity, customer adaptability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the roadmap for MasterControl’s enterprise platform and internal tooling capabilities, including metadata services, configuration frameworks, system extensibility, and platform tooling.

  • Serve as a thought leader in platform scalability, SaaS extensibility, and system resilience, incorporating best practices and long-term vision.
  • Own backlog grooming, prioritization, and story definition for core platform services.
  • Define and track metrics to evaluate platform health, adoption, and performance improvements.
  • Influence cross-functional product teams by advocating for platform-first thinking, standardization, and reusability.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5+ years focused on enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Deep understanding of metadata-driven systems, configurable object models, and extensible frameworks.
  • Experience building or managing core platform services, such as identity, authorization, metadata/config services, data modeling layers, or workflow engines.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to work closely with engineering on architecture, APIs, schemas, and internal tooling.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with a track record of working across engineering, product, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success delivering technical product roadmaps at scale and balancing long-term platform investments with near-term needs.
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS systems, enterprise data models, and internal developer platforms is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in compliance-heavy or regulated industries (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, or financial services).
  • Familiarity with JSON/YAML-based metadata representations, platform SDKs, or developer tooling strategies.
  • Background in software engineering or computer science is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Lean development environments and using tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent use of computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of computer equipment or other objects up to 25 pounds may be required.
  • Standard office environment with potential for remote work.
