We’re determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals – and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.

A Senior Asset Owner & Technical Product Owner plays an integral role in the successful design, deployment, and adoption of end-to-end analytical solutions to serve our business partners. You will drive adoption of the consulting & business analytics portfolio through product ownership and execution of a balanced, intentional communication approach that best serves internal (agile team vision, execution work scope) and external (roadmap, asset-specific documentation) audiences.

This role is a critical member of the GS Data Science, AI & Analytics organization, serving as connective tissue across a robust strategy and multiple job families. Amidst rapid change and opportunity across GS spanning business and technology teams, this position ensures that our robust portfolio including consulting, dashboard development and business-focused analytic solutions are translated into tangible business outcomes across the GS strategy and value streams. This role will balance strategy, technology, and customer value by evolving processes on growing teams, prioritizing work, shaping the backlog, and driving adoption to deliver measurable impact in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. The ability to shape planning and guide execution, as well as confidently represent analytic solutions (dashboards, reports, metrics) is critical to success.

This role will support the Global Specialty organization as part of the DSAIA team. This team is one of three practices (business-aligned teams) in the broader Business Insurance Data Science, AI and Analytics organization. This role will be shaped to fit the needs of the team and the evolving operating model in Global Specialty. As a result, we expect to draw core capabilities from the Product Owner and Asset Owner roles to develop an approach that best meets the team’s needs and journey.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day Agile execution for multiple advanced analytics teams; leverage proficiency in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) to drive iterative delivery, transparency, and continuous improvement across teams and value streams
  • Serve as change agent for DSAIA integration and embeddedness into the GS value stream model
  • Build strong partnerships with business customers and technology partners and act as key point of contact for Business Intelligence & Performance Analytics portfolio and assets
  • Partner with APMs and business leaders to refine features and roadmap priorities
  • Translate vision and strategic roadmap into incremental plans, sprint goals and prioritized execution work (in partnership with technical leaders); ensure backlog items reflect customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Assist in development of team and product vision, strategic planning, success criteria, CBA and value propositions for Business Intelligence & Performance Analytics initiatives and assets
  • Assist with the communication plan and marketing strategy of the portfolio and key capstone initiatives; execute well-designed communication plans tailored to audiences ranging from technical peers to business stakeholders of various levels

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in supporting analytic product ownership or technical development in insurance or related field
  • Proficient knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP) and comfort navigating ambiguity, assessing team needs, establishing routines and driving continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with insurance preference, with stronger preference for Commercial Insurance and direct Global Specialty knowledge
  • Proficiency in turning a new business problem into an executable technical or analytical solution
  • Comfortable with working on novel, ambiguous business problems with no clear-cut solutions while flexing different roles to achieve project success
  • Proficiency in impactful storytelling, communication, and relationship-building across a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft tools to develop compelling visuals articulating complex analytical topics
  • Proficiency in translating complex technical topics into business solutions and strategies as well as turning business requirements into technical solutions
  • Experience with leading project execution and driving change to core business processes through the innovative use of quantitative techniques
  • Commitment to proactively expand technical knowledge in emerging areas such as generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, cloud-based data platforms, and modern data engineering practices to stay current and deliver innovative solutions for customers
