What We’re Looking For:

Sift’s Technical Program Management team is looking for someone to join our mission to Help Everyone Trust the Internet. We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a deep desire to take ownership and make an impact. The TPM will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex software projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of market leading technology.

  • Possesses a deep knowledge of Program and Project management best practices and how to apply them in an effective and pragmatic way across large, complex engagements and organizations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with team members and audiences of all levels of management and technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent people management skills; including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results through others who are not direct reports.

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities, with both external and internal stakeholders.

  • Team player who effectively integrates, motivates and builds relationships with cross-functional team members (local or remote), sponsors, key stakeholders, executives and other individuals or organizations involved with or affected by the project.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and implement broad-based processes and mechanisms that remove ambiguity, align disparate, large organizations, and accelerate our rate of delivery against critical goals.

  • Lead cross-organizationally to align program/project goals with business goals, planning, and roadmapping to ensure the achievement of those goals.

  • Serve as SME for internal customers and partner teams to provide valuable, strategic input on best practices and offerings related to Engineering initiatives.

  • Plan the preparation and dissemination of program communications, being able to prepare and present reports to and lead conversations with the Executive teams.

  • Actively seek ways to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness.

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Proven ability to learn a B2B SaaS product.

  • 2+ years of direct experience as a Technical Program Manager working with Engineering teams. 

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Experience managing complex projects effectively within and across teams (sets clear goals, swim-lanes, identifies roadblocks, designs solutions, and tracks progress against deadlines).

  • Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Experience operating effectively between technical and non-technical entities, influencing, and driving a program in fast-paced matrix organization.

  • Bonus: Experience working with teams or managing products that leverage machine learning or artificial intelligence.
