Job Overview

This is a high-impact, execution-focused sourcing role designed to accelerate our technical team hiring over the next six months. You will own the top of the recruiting funnel for critical technical roles and partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to identify, engage, and qualify exceptional engineering talent.

This role requires speed, precision, strong technical intuition, and comfort leveraging modern sourcing technologies — including AI-powered tools — to increase efficiency, personalization, and pipeline quality.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive outbound sourcing campaigns for high-priority engineering roles
  • Build targeted pipelines across hardware, mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, manufacturing, and software engineering disciplines
  • Conduct detailed talent mapping and market research for niche or hard-to-fill skill sets
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align on candidate profiles and outreach strategies
  • Develop personalized, high-conversion outreach that clearly communicates Mainspring’s mission, culture, technology, and growth trajectory
  • Leverage sourcing platforms and alternative channels to identify high-signal candidates
  • Utilize AI-enabled sourcing tools and automation thoughtfully to improve search precision, messaging personalization, workflow efficiency, and candidate engagement
  • Qualify and conduct initial outreach conversations as needed
  • Track sourcing metrics (response rates, conversion rates, from posting to interviews) and continuously optimize strategy
  • Maintain clean, accurate data within the ATS

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–7+ years of technical sourcing experience in a high-growth or technical environment
  • Demonstrated success sourcing engineers across hardware and software domains
  • Strong proficiency with modern sourcing tools and talent intelligence platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance sourcing research, outreach personalization, candidate screening, and workflow efficiency
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technical requirements
  • Strong written communication skills — you write outreach that converts
  • Comfort managing multiple searches simultaneously under tight timelines
  • High level of organization, ownership, and bias toward action
  • Strong curiosity to understand technology

Does your experience not meet all of our posted requirements? Studies have shown that some people are less likely to apply to positions unless they meet every listed requirement. At Mainspring, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, flexible, and collaborative environment, so if you want to help us transition the world to clean and affordable electricity, and don’t meet all posted requirements for a particular role, we’d still love to hear from you. Mainspring can sometimes be flexible enough to shift responsibilities for the right person, or otherwise identify open or upcoming roles that may better fit your professional background.
