The Technical Writer will develop and maintain safety-focused documentation that supports our clients and internal stakeholders. This role will be instrumental in writing, editing, and refreshing materials such as safety manuals, documentation, and compliance content. The ideal candidate thrives on accountability, consistently meets deadlines, and contributes to clear and compliant safety communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and format safety manuals, policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • Refresh and revise existing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with current OSHA/HSE standards.
  • Draft materials for construction site safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Prepare clear, concise summaries and follow-ups from safety meetings and client engagements.
  • Incorporate regulatory requirements and best practices into content by researching OSHA and industry standards.
  • Ensure all documents are delivered with exceptional attention to detail, accurate technical information, consistent terminology, and proper formatting.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to validate technical content.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
  • Track deliverables to ensure timely completion with minimal revision cycles.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably with safety, compliance, or industrial content.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documentation.
  • High level of accountability and demonstrated ability to reliably meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable multitasking and managing shifting priorities.

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training Certification or equivalent safety training experience.
  • Experience writing safety manuals, compliance documentation, or construction-focused materials.
  • Familiarity with contractor compliance platforms and requirements.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and translating technical language into clear, user-friendly content.

Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Internet Connection:
    • Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
    • Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
    • Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
  • Primary Device:
    • Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
      • Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer)Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer)AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
      • A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
  • Backup Device:
    • Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
    • Must be functional during power interruptions.
  • A functioning webcam.
