 As a Test Process Engineer at Nokia’s Allentown facility, you will play a critical role in optimizing the testing processes for our cutting-edge optical communication products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, from technicians to senior directors, to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software test challenges. In this fast-paced environment, you will help drive end-to-end test yield improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our innovative technology. Responsibilities

 Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software test issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to drive improvements in test yield and reduce test cycle times.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to support testing processes and findings.
  • Create and provide software tools for technicians focused on fault isolation of optical and electrical problems.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, ensuring transparency and professional interactions.
  • Proactively balance production demands with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability.
  • Utilize statistical analysis techniques, including Gauge R&R and SPC, to drive process improvements.
  • Review and enhance existing code to optimize testing equipment and interface for better performance and quality.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: 

  • BS degree in a science or engineering discipline. 

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience. 

  • Working knowledge of analog/digital electronics and ability to read schematics. 

  • Basic statistics; familiarity with Gauge R&R and SPC. 

  • Experience with SQL and statistical tools (JMP/JSL preferred). 

  • Ability to read and improve code (Java, C#, VB.NET, etc.). 

  • Experience with test/measurement interfaces (USB, GPIB, TCP/IP, SPI, COM). 

  • Ability to modify existing software to improve cycle time, quality, and reliability. 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • 2+ years in semiconductor, optoelectronic, or related manufacturing. 

  • Experience supporting international contract manufacturers. 

  • Experience with automation of electrical/optical test equipment (attenuators, switches, OSAs, DMMs, scopes, etc.).
