Summary: We are looking for a Compensation Analyst to own and evolve our total rewards programs across our sales and corporate functions. This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and employee experience — partnering closely with Finance, Sales leadership, and the broader People team to ensure our pay and benefits programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned to business goals. We expect 75 - 80% of your time to be spent on compensation work. You'll have meaningful ownership from day one and room to build.

Responsibilities:

Compensation
  • Develop and execute Transfr’s total rewards strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, talent retention, and market competitiveness

  • Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to Design, administer, and continuously improve all aspects of sales incentive compensation plans (commission structures, SPIFs, accelerators, quotas)

  • Partner with Sales leadership to model plan design scenarios and evaluate cost and effectiveness

  • Manage the sales compensation plan document and communication cycle; ensure reps have clarity on how they earn

  • Audit and resolve commission calculation issues; address plan disputes

  • Track and report on incentive plan performance, attainment, and payout trends

  • Manage the company’s annual merit and compensation review cycles from modeling through execution

  • Develop and maintain salary ranges and job architecture across all levels and functions

Benefits
  • Lead annual open enrollment planning and execution, including communications, system configuration, and employee education

  • Manage relationships with PEO provider and other vendors

  • Oversee 401(k) plan administration, including enrollment, contribution changes, loan and withdrawal processing, compliance testing coordination, and employee education

  • Conduct benefits benchmarking to assess market competitiveness and identify gaps or opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.) and manage required filings and notices

  • Partner with Finance on benefits cost modeling, budgeting, and reporting

Operations and Analytics
  • Develop and deliver communication strategies to effectively communicate compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs, policies, and guidelines to employees

  • Stay current on compensation and benefits trends, legislative updates, and market conditions; bring proactive recommendations to the team

  • Ensure various reporting is completed as requested (EEO-1, HR data for other reports)

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of compensation experience, with significant exposure to sales incentive and corporate compensation programs

  • Thorough knowledge of compensation structures and design

  • Strong math and analytical / modeling skills; comfort building financial models and working with large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow for collaborative problem solving and ability to work with all levels of the organization

  • Experience with market pricing tools and compensation surveys

  • Experience analyzing, synthesizing, and drawing conclusions from data quickly and accurately

  • Familiarity with sales compensation and HRIS platforms (experience with Captivate, or similar a plus)

  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive data with integrity

  • Strong communicator who can translate complex comp concepts for non-HR and Finance audiences.

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $150,000 - $165,000 with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary, this role will be eligible for commission and additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and health benefits.
