Overview: 

We are hiring a trade desk support engineer to join our IT department to handle L1 thru L3 level support of service requests/incidents in a professional and timely manner. Customer service and production support are the most important aspects of this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
  • Proactive identification and resolution of production issues
  • Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of complex systems issues
  • Production Deployments of all infrastructure components
  • Off hours pager support on a rotating schedule

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of UNIX environment/Unix commands
  • Database knowledge with sql - MySQL, InfluxDB
  • Strong scripting knowledge - Python/Bash
  • Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to switch and track various ongoing tasks and issues is required
  • Attention to detail in problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic trading environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred: 

  • Experience using Jira as a ticket/work request system
  • Experience using Grafana/InfluxDB/Icinga
  • Linux desktop support experience
  • Experience with version control systems such as git/puppet
  • Network troubleshooting and analysis experience

The range below reflects the expected base salary for this position. It represents a good-faith estimate of the base pay we anticipate offering, with actual compensation determined by your experience, education, skills, and performance throughout the interview process. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus (at DV Trading's discretion) and DV Trading's benefits package, including the benefits listed above.
