We are looking for a multi-talented and passionate Trading Engineer to join our strategy development team. This person will provide high-quality technical support to traders and developers while ensuring optimal performance and reliability of trading operations at IMC.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for proprietary trading applications
- Communicate incident status and resolutions to users in a clear and timely manner
- Monitor trading system performance, proactively identify issues, and implement solutions
- Ensure uptime and reliability of applications and systems during trading hours
- Develop automation tools and scripts to reduce operational overhead
- Perform in-depth analysis on a range of complex, multi-faceted systems (e.g., root cause)
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement new features and services that improve performance, reliability, and scalability of trading systems
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field of study
- 3+ years of experience in application support, site reliability engineering, or related role that focuses on supporting high-performance applications
- Demonstrated experience working in a production Kubernetes environment required
- Proficiency with writing tools and scripts in Python and Bash required
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus), databases (SQL and MongoDB), and data-driven analysis is a strong plus
- Familiarity with CentOS or related enterprise Linux distributions (e.g. RHEL, Rocky Linux) is a plus
- Self-driven with a passion for engineering and a natural sense of curiosity
- A team player with strong communication skills
The Base Salary range for the role is included below. Base salary is only one component of total compensation; all full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
