Lakeshore Beverage is seeking an experienced Training & Compliance Manager to design, facilitate, and administer training programs that support regulatory compliance, operational standards, and employee development across the organization. This role also serves as an internal resource for state and federal alcohol compliance requirements, ensuring company practices align with all applicable laws and industry regulations

Responsibilities:

Training & Development

  • Facilitate in-person, virtual, and LMS-based training sessions focused on regulatory compliance, sales skills, and operational standards.
  • Administer BrewU (Absorb LMS), including user management, course assignments, and enrollments.
  • Develop internally facing virtual learning modules using Absorb Create and other learning tools.
  • Partner with departments and sub-teams to create training materials, job aids, and support documentation.
  • Support internal and external training needs, including training for accounts and retailers, brand education, and tastings.
  • Collaborate with HR and department leaders to welcome, orient, and onboard new team members.
  • Execute the annual Career Development Discussions (CDD) process for all non-union positions.
  • Partner with senior leadership and department heads to assess training needs and design scalable programs aligned with organizational culture and business goals.
  • Travel to all Lakeshore Beverage locations as needed to support training initiatives.

Compliance

  • Serve as an internal resource for state and federal liquor laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Execute and track annual compliance training across the organization.
  • Review and approve third-party compliance affidavits.
  • Answer compliance-related questions from team members and leaders.
  • Participate in monthly compliance calls with ABDI (Associated Beer Distributors of Illinois) and attend regulatory events as needed.
  • Communicate updates related to new laws, regulatory changes, or evolving legal interpretations.

Other

  • Support additional HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Training and Development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting and facilitating training for small and large groups.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tools and systems, including Canva, Absorb, Absorb Create, and other training development platforms
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Driving record acceptable to the Company
