Department OverviewThe Motorola Solutions Global Education Organization is responsible for creating innovative training strategies, as well as the design, development, and delivery of technical and end user training content across the company’s solutions/product portfolio. Our training services address the educational needs of our Motorola Solutions customers, partners and employees, enabling each group to be more efficient, effective, as well as ensure established business and operational outcomes are met.
Job Description
This role is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of training labs and classrooms in the NA Training organization. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsible for training lab and classroom readiness for training delivery as planned in the training schedule. Ensure training equipment is in full working order for training delivery.
Ensure lab Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is followed:
Run system functionality test on training equipment as specified in the SOP document and submit report to Lab Manager.
Ensure equipment backup/restoration procedure is carried out when required.
Report any problems found on training equipment to Lab Manager and follow up on the resolution.
Carry out equipment downgrade or upgrade process to prepare training equipment for customer training delivery as directed by Lab Manager.
Responsible for building and maintaining equipment asset list database.
Prepare equipment for shipment and complete shipment paperwork. Upon receiving equipment shipments back from external training deliveries, carry out inventory checklist to ensure all equipment is accounted for and, if instructed by Lab Manager, carry out tests to verify if the equipment is in working order.
Ensure classrooms and labs are in a tidy condition.
Carry out any other lab, classroom and equipment tasks as directed by the Lab Manager.
Successful candidates will possess the following critical knowledge and skills
Any experience with Motorola equipment such as Dimetra, MOTOTRBO, or Astro networks or radios would be beneficial.
Knowledge of IP networking and operating systems (Windows, Linux and VMWare ESXI).
Mature, articulate and well organized with a strong work ethic. Highly motivated to learn new technologies and products.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Good quality written and oral communication skills.
Travel:
Requires 30% travel Internationally.
Target Base Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 USD
