Your Opportunity

Scion is paving a path in student living and we’re seeking a motivated Treasury Analyst to join us in supporting the daily cash and banking operations of our organization. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in treasury within a U.S.-based real estate platform.
The Treasury Analyst supports the execution and monitoring of cash activity across a highly decentralized bank account structure, working closely with the VP; Finance, Accounting & Treasury and cross-functional finance teams. This role is operational and analytical in nature and does not include capital markets, investment management, or foreign currency responsibilities.


Your Responsibilities

The Treasury Analyst supports daily treasury operations and cash management activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Daily monitoring of cash balances across a large number of U.S. bank accounts
  • Prepare daily and weekly cash position reports using established templates
  • Support short-term cash forecasting through data gathering and basic variance analysis
  • Identify and flag unusual or unexpected cash activity for review
  • Assist with bank account openings, closures, and ongoing maintenance
  • Maintain accurate bank account inventories, documentation, and signatory records
  • Support user access administration and periodic entitlement reviews
  • Prepare standard cash and banking reports for treasury and finance leadership
  • Support Accounting teams with bank reconciliations and research reconciling items
  • Assist in resolving bank errors, posting issues, and cash discrepancies
  • Perform routine activities within online banking platforms and treasury system (after implementation)
  • Support testing of system changes, banking updates, and process enhancements
  • Follow established treasury controls and procedures
  • Assist with audit documentation and evidence gathering
  • Participate in treasury-related projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Understand real estate joint venture structures and process to fund cash shortfalls
  • Assist with treasury system implementation

What We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, treasury, banking, or a related role
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to follow processes, meet deadlines, and manage routine tasks accurately


Operational Details

Job location is based at Scion’s Chicago corporate headquarters.
Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours.

The base salary range for this full-time position is base + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
