Treasury Operations is responsible for forecasting funding requirements to support the Global Clearing business and the Global Treasury function. The team ensures all Clearing House margin obligations are met through the effective deployment of cash and non-cash collateral, while balancing time-sensitive requests from Client Service and Global Treasury.

As a Treasury Operations Analyst within Treasury Operations, you will support daily funding projections and collateral movements to ensure margin requirements are met efficiently and in line with established controls. The role requires regular interaction with local and global stakeholders, including Client Service, Global Treasury, and Operations partners, as well as frequent collaboration with Technology and Project Delivery teams to support process enhancements and strategic initiatives.


Job responsibilities

  • Project funding requirements to support the Global Clearing business and the Global Treasury team
  • Forecast funding needs to support trading activity
  • Settle cash and collateral movements in line with market standards and Clearing House cut-offs
  • Manage collateral and cash movements instructed by Global Treasury and Client Service teams
  • Reconcile cash and collateral positions and balances
  • Maintain an understanding of regulatory and Client Money controls impacting daily processes; adhere to controls at all times
  • Interact daily with JPM Custody teams, Financial Control, and Treasury Services to resolve issues and process transactions
  • Coordinate with Treasury Operations teams in EMEA and APAC to provide global coverage
  • Participate in project working groups to support new products and new markets
  • Drive strategic improvements through partnership with technology and by developing/self-solving tools
  • Prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environment and deliver under strict deadlines with limited supervision

     

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong analytical skills; control-focused mindset; ability to work independently under strict deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and challenge existing processes; proactive problem-solving approach
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with global and local stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize in a busy, high-pressure environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Basic understanding of securities
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn

 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Background in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business management
  • Treasury Operations experience
  • Experience in an operational, financial services, and/or customer service environment
  • Previous exposure to financial products and derivatives instruments
