You will be required to work tight deadlines, often determined by variable match schedules, and handle multiple responsibilities outside of daily tasks. Weekend work will be required for this role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Form a key part of the core SI FC editorial team in the US, helping to ensure high quality standards everywhere.
  • Write and edit global soccer articles with a particular focus on those that appeal to a North America audience.
  • Identify opportunities to grow our user base and maximize US audience consumption with regular real-time and historic data analysis.
  • Help coordinate a small team of freelance writers across North America.
  • Be the team’s main editor from 1pm/2pm ET most days (when the UK team hands over to the US team) and coordinate much of SI FC’s live match coverage.
  • Be available for on-the-ground match and interview coverage.
  • Coordinate and produce commercial written content, when required.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related writing-intensive field.
  • At least two years of journalism experience, ideally with a focus on soccer.
  • Strong knowledge of and a genuine passion for North American soccer.
  • A data-driven approach to growing digital audiences.
  • Based and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Weekend availability

Where You’ll Be:

  • Remote based in the U.S.

The expected salary range for this position is between $65,000-$75,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location. The benefits available for this position include flexible vacation policy, 15 paid holidays, paid parental leave, health insurance, 401(k) with company match.
