Job Title: UI/UX Designer 4
Duration: 12 + Months with possible extension

Role Overview
- The
UI/UX Designer 4 will be an individual contributor at a high senior level,
focusing on features, strategy, and working at both epic and feature
levels.
- The
primary focus will be on the VisionLink mobile app, including experiences
with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and tablet experiences.
- The
role also requires translating web experiences into native mobile
experiences.
Portfolio Expectations
- Looking
for complex mobile app experiences, complex workflows, and redesigns
(before and after examples).
- Portfolios
should demonstrate solutions for smaller complex problems, such as data
table translation from web to mobile/tablet, clever map implementations,
and data visualization.
- The
ability to tell a story about redesigning complex components or data
visualizations for mobile is important.
Interview Process
- Selected
candidates will then move on to an hour to an hour and a half technical
design review with three senior team members.
Top 3 Skills
- Expert
Figma skills are required.
- The
last two major projects should be primarily mobile-focused with an updated
skill set.
- Excellent
communication with a positive attitude is essential.
Experience and Location
- Will
consider candidates with more than 8 years of experience, including those
with 18-20 years of experience.
- Experience
should not include time spent in schooling.
- Previously
submitted candidates that have been seen multiple times should not be
resubmitted.
- Relocation
candidates are accepted, but the company will not cover relocation costs.
- Candidates
must be within an hour or 50 miles of a digital hub in Chicago,
Bloomfield, or Peoria.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilize UX design methodologies and tools including wireframes,
prototypes, personas, user research, journey maps, and experience flows to
bring digital solutions from concept to market in partnership with
stakeholders and cross-functional teams. (70%)
- Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for user needs while
balancing business objectives and technical constraints. (15%)
- Contribute to feature design, user research planning, and product
definition to drive successful project outcomes and ensure high-quality
design deliverables aligned with organizational standards. (15%)
Team &
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver
exceptional user experiences.
- Collaborate with a UX team consisting of 8 designers and 3
researchers.
- Partner with an additional team of 5 UX professionals based in
India.
- Engage with UX practitioners across the broader organization on
cross-application and platform convergence initiatives.

Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional UX experience.
- Equivalent qualifications include:
- 12+ years of UX experience, OR
- UX certification (e.g., HFI, General Assembly, or similar) with 8+
years of UX experience.
- Portfolio link is mandatory
and must be included with the application.
Required Technical
Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including Figma Make.
- Strong knowledge of the latest Figma capabilities and best
practices.
- Experience creating low-, mid-, and high-fidelity designs.
- Advanced prototyping skills.
- Information architecture (IA) flows and user experience flow
diagram creation.
- Native mobile application and responsive design experience.
Required Soft Skills
- Experience or domain knowledge in equipment management or related
industries such as airlines, mapping applications, Oil & Gas, FinTech,
or similar sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive mindset.
Preferred
Qualifications / Top Candidate Profile
- Experience designing enterprise-level applications.
- Strong UX generalist background rather than a narrow
specialization.
- Extensive mobile design experience with a passion for mobile
technologies.
- Collaborative team player who actively contributes ideas and
participates in discussions.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent Figma file organization, design
system practices, and technical expertise.
