UI/UX Designer – Momentum Internship Program

Overview: We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to help shape intuitive and visually engaging digital experiences. This role offers the opportunity to work on real-world projects that support both client deliverables and internal initiatives aimed at expanding access to paid internships.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to gather and evaluate user requirements

  • Design user interface elements such as menus, tabs, buttons, and widgets

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate functionality and user flow

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions

  • Develop responsive designs optimized for mobile and desktop platforms

  • Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and accessibility standards

  • Iterate on feedback from stakeholders and end users to refine designs

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision

  • Understanding of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus

  • Strong visual design sense with attention to typography, layout, and color

  • Ability to create user personas, journey maps, and storyboards

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design principles

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Portfolio showcasing UI/UX projects (academic or freelance work welcome)

  • Passion for user-centered design and continuous learning
