We are recruiting for an Underwriting Learning Content Specialist to join our team.  This role will sit hybrid in one of our local offices: Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Farmington Hills MI, Indianapolis IN, Phoenix AZ, St. Louis MO or Tampa FL.

Position Summary:

The Underwriting Learning Content Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating high-impact training programs that support underwriting, and operational excellence within Amerisure. This role partners closely with subject matter experts and leadership to translate complex insurance concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences that drive performance, compliance, and consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain training content

  • Coordinate and manage training programs for new hires, ongoing professional development, and role-based learning paths

  • Translate technical insurance content into clear, learner-focused materials such as e-learning modules, instructor-led presentations, job aids, guides, and assessments

  • Partner with underwriting, and operations subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business objectives

  • Facilitate or co-facilitate live and virtual training sessions as needed

  • Administer and maintain the learning management system (LMS), including course assignments, tracking, reporting, and updates

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; recommend and implement improvements

  • Ensure training materials remain current with changes in products, regulations, procedures, and systems

  • Support onboarding initiatives to accelerate time-to-competency for new employees

  • Maintain organized documentation, version control, and training standards

Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work-related experience

  • 3 years of experience in Commercial Lines P&C Insurance, training, instructional design, underwriting or a related role

  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty insurance concepts, coverages, and workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop adult learning content using instructional design principles

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for both in-person and virtual audiences

  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and common content development tools (e.g., PowerPoint, e-learning authoring tools, collaboration platforms)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across departments and experience levels

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training needs and measure effectiveness

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially in regulated environments

  • Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced insurance environment
