Job Description

This role contributes to accounting operational excellence by applying Lean principles, automation, and AI tools to streamline accounting processes. The analyst will work cross-functionally, using a deep understanding of key business drivers and how their work integrates with broader team objectives to deliver high-quality financial outcomes

Responsibilities
  • Execute general accounting and policy application across key accounting areas involving multiple Balance Sheet & Income Statement Areas.

  • Interpret and apply GEHC GAPs, SOPs, and Process Maps to ensure globally competitive financial processes.

  • Assist in preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for audits and compliance.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prepare internal financial reports, variance analyses, and ad hoc updates to support deep dives & business decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial data.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to eliminate inefficiencies.

  • Leverage automation tools and AI technologies to enhance data accuracy, reduce manual effort, and accelerate reporting.

  • Provide guidance & supervision to Contractors (team members) and communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

  • Apply professional judgment and technical expertise, under supervision, to solve problems using insights from multiple internal sources.

  • Operate with a certain level of autonomy in executing standard practices while contributing to broader team and business goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university or college with 4 + years accounting experience .

Desired Characteristics
  • CPA / ACCA / CA / CMA preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills – essential for explaining complex financial data clearly and collaborating across teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems – applies analytical thinking and judgment to troubleshoot accounting issues and improve processes.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects – supports initiatives such as automation, Lean projects, and compliance enhancements with structured planning and communication.

  • Established project management skills – manages multiple priorities and contributes to cross-functional projects with accountability and efficiency.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $88,000.00-$132,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
