What will you be doing?

The Client Sales & Insights Vice President is a high-profile role within the company and our client organization. In this position, you will create impactful insights and revenue growth for a large CPG beverage company known for their innovative products and highly visible marketing campaigns. You will partner with the client across functions and levels to help ensure their continued success.

As a Client Sales & Insights Vice President, you will lead a high-performance team in developing and using Circana’s tools to identify and address a broad spectrum of needs including new product launches, line extensions, trade spending, pricing, strategy, M&A, analytics, technology enablement, and retail execution.

The Client Sales & Insights Vice President serves as a passionate advocate for the client in advancing solutions that will best build the client’s long-term business. While exceeding revenue targets is important, success is equally measured by the ability to create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships.


Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Client Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships by aligning Circana’s data and software solutions with their strategic goals.
  • Deliver Insight-Led Solutions: Translate complex data into actionable insights that help clients make informed decisions and achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Manage the Sales Cycle: Lead end-to-end sales processes including prospecting, needs assessment, solution development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams (e.g., Client Insights, Product, and Analytics) to deliver integrated solutions and ensure client success.
  • Maintain Industry Expertise: Stay current on trends in Retail, CPG, Beverage Alcohol to position Circana as a thought leader and trusted advisor.
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations, including decision-makers and influencers, up to C-Suite.
  • Utilize Sales Tools and Platforms: Leverage Circana’s proprietary platforms (e.g., Unify+, Liquid Data, Intelligence Suite) to support client engagements and solution delivery.
  • Achieve Revenue Targets: Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals through disciplined pipeline management and strategic account planning.
  • Champion Client Success: Ensure client satisfaction by proactively addressing challenges, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering consistent value.
  • Support Innovation and Feedback: Provide market feedback to internal teams to help refine offerings and contribute to product development.
  • Advanced Analytic Skills: Demonstrated ability to conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses, with a focus on consumer solutions, providing clients with clear, actionable insights to inform strategy.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of progressive business experience with a strong understanding of CPG manufacturer/retailer issues having worked in one or more of the environments below:
    • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
    • CPG Data Analytics / Consulting
    • CPG Retailer / Distributor
  • Beverage CPG industry experience required.  Alcohol Beverage experience is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and execute client relationship strategies and build strong relationships, including direct C-Suite level engagements. Proven impactful executive presence. 
  • Architect and deliver business proposals leveraging a cross functional team of solution experts.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including strength in identifying, conveying, and solving business problems related to CPG and Retailer strategies and market positions. Ability to translate vision articulated by client stakeholders into solutions.
  • A track record of creating and driving innovative solutions, including custom solutions supported by advanced technology.
  • General management and P&L responsibility with a track record of sustained revenue and profit growth through the achievement of short and long-term objectives.
  • Effective people management to serve and support team members for goal achievement and personal/career growth.
  • Demonstrated strengths in Microsoft Suite, Unify+/Syndicated Data, PowerBI, Dynamics, AI Productivity.
  • Key strength to quickly assess complex client data driven issues and identify root causes and solutions. Very strong attention to detail.
  • Bias toward execution, strength to achieve goals through action and speed. Direct execution impact and execution through team and partners via direct and indirect influence. 
  • Advanced ability to communicate and leverage technology and analytics in solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree required; top MBA strongly preferred.

Location

This position is located in Chicago IL (Onsite client 3+ days per week)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $165,000 - $200,000 USD.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
