Vice President of Engineering

Jobba Trade Technologies, a Chicago-based tech firm, provides practical technology to help commercial roofing companies execute and improve their business. We are a fast-moving, growing company with a serious need to build on our strong team. We are looking for a Vice President of Engineering for our Rosemont location.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Product Engineering to lead our engineering team in developing & maintaining our SaaS solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in scaling engineering teams and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of directors, managers, and engineers
• Develop and execute the technical vision and strategy in alignment with business goals
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of our SaaS platform
• Implement best practices for product and software development, CI/CD, QA, and DevOps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation
• Manage the engineering department's budget and resources
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and architectural improvements

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and release management
• Experience with PHP, .NET, C#, SQL Server, and front-end web technologies
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
