The Video Editor cum Graphic Designer will create and edit videos and motion graphics, coordinate with content teams, and design layouts and print materials.
This is a remote position.
We are hiring for the position of Video Editor with proven capabilities in graphic designing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing and editing videos, motion graphics and other creative dynamic content formats like GIFs, Video snippets etc. the candidate will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects.
Key Responsibility Area
- Coordination with content team for monthly social media calendars (static posts, Videos , banner images, cover images, GIFs, Infographics, memes etc)
- Developing concepts, graphics, videos, layouts, templates, rough drafts, finals cuts, eBooks, Case study and PPT designs etc. for owned company assets like Website, Blog etc.
- Design conceptualization and execution for print collaterals, logos, mailers, product illustrations etc.
- Take briefs to grasp production team’s needs and specifications; Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity; Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects; Create rough and final cuts; Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator is a must; Experience in InDesign is a plus
- Proven experience of working on edition software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity & Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Preferably from a Fine Arts background
- Offline drawing, sketching and able to transfer into digital is an advantage
