Who We Are

At Voltify, we are building the next generation of rail: battery locomotives that fast charge autonomously and dynamically through a dedicated self-sustained microgrid network.

We are bringing back the power to the industry and eliminating the dependency on fossil fuels, lowering the rail industry’s main expense, energy, by more than 20%. This is over $3B yearly just in North America.

We are already working with some of the largest global rail companies with over $50M in contingent orders. We have raised over $50M from top tier funds and strategics and are rapidly growing.

Our founding team has a proven track record in building billion dollar public companies in renewable energy and infrastructure.

The Opportunity

Voltify sells railroads a complete energy system as a service: battery locomotives, charging, and our own microgrids. Railroads cut their biggest cost without spending capital. Voltify owns the assets and the recurring revenue.

That makes us an infrastructure company, an energy company, and a technology company at once. Here, finance is the growth engine, not a support function. How we fund each locomotive, charger, and microgrid sets how fast we grow, what we earn, and what our capital costs.

Battery rail has never been financed at scale. Our VP Finance will write the playbook.

What You’ll Own

  • Capital. Equity funding. 
  • Asset finance. The structures that fund our fleet and energy network: project finance, tax equity, lease facilities, and infrastructure partnerships. Hundreds of millions of dollars, then billions.
  • Deal design. Pricing and contract structures (leasing, energy sales, hybrids) that win customers and attract capital.
  • The model. One financial model linking engineering, deployment, unit economics, and capital.
  • Public readiness. Audit, controls, governance, and investor relations built to public company standards from day one.
  • Incentives. Every tax credit, grant, and public financing program we qualify for.
  • The team. A lean, AI-native finance organization across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax.
  • Legal - leading our GC and soon in-house counsel and all contracts. 
  • Payments - leading out day to day financial operations

  • You’ve raised billions in equity and debt, in good markets and bad.
  • You’ve financed long-lived, capital intensive assets in energy, utilities, telecom, transportation, infrastructure, or real estate.
  • You’ve financed something no one had financed before.
  • Boards, banks, and investors have backed you, and would again.
  • You can make a complex capital structure clear to a banker, a board, and an engineer.
  • You’d rather build than maintain. Hands on, low ego, fast.
  • Rail, transportation, or energy experience is a plus.
