About Wonderly

Wonderly is building the first end-to-end AI business platform for service businesses. The roofers, contractors, med spas, and law firms that make up the majority of the economy are excellent at their craft and poor at running a business — and most of them should be generating 2–5x more revenue than they currently are.

Today, solving this means hiring an agency, stitching together a dozen tools, and spending weeks on setup and maintenance. Even then, results are inconsistent and systems break constantly.

Wonderly replaces all of it. Ads, website, lead intake, CRM, AI receptionist, follow-up, and project delivery — all in one platform, fully set up in minutes. Because we own every layer, nothing breaks at the seams. The integrations that fail in stitched-together systems simply don't exist inside Wonderly.

What makes us different is that AI is native to the platform, not bolted on. Our agents don't just suggest — they actually run ads, build websites, answer calls, qualify leads, book meetings, follow up, and move deals through the pipeline. The goal is not incremental improvement. The goal is to take a business from a non-functional system to a high-performing one almost immediately.

With backing from YC and Sam Altman, a $500M+ valuation, and hundreds of thousands of users, we're well positioned to lead. We're building for the majority of businesses in the economy. For them, AI doesn't need to be customizable — it needs to work.

Wonderly is intense, fast, and not for everyone. If you want to work with top talent, push yourself harder than you thought possible, and help redefine how AI actually drives revenue for real businesses, you'll thrive here.

About the Role

We’re hiring a VP of Growth to lead growth and marketing across our two products: Motion, our established productivity platform, and Wonderly, the new AI-native business platform we’re scaling.

This person will report directly to Harry Qi, Founder and CEO of Motion and Wonderly.

  1. Motion is our mature time and project management product - where we’ve scaled to $40M/year in revenue and $20M/year in free cashflow. However, Motion was pre-AI SaaS; no matter what people tell you, it’s nearly impossible to retrofit best AI Agents to a pre-AI SaaS.

  2. So we decided to build a new company, Wonderly, fully owned by Motion and funded by Motion’s $20M/year in free cashflow, in addition to tens of millions of cash in the bank. We’ve been working on Wonderly for over a year with 65 team members (almost entirely PDE), and believe we’ve just recently found PMF for Wonderly. Wonderly is an end-to-end verticalized AI-native OS for home services businesses - we own the entire system of record, all business applications (we replace ServiceTitan, House Call Pro, RingCentral, Squarespace, Docusign, Square, and a dozen other applications), and dozens of AI agents ourselves embedded natively inside our business applications, with native data read & write access to our system of record. As a result, we can deploy dozens of AI Agents to our customers with no FDEs, no integrations, and no data cleaning work.

Wonderly has the most result-driven business model, because we’ve proven our system and AI Agents work. We are not trying to sell our customers a dream - we deliver real revenue and profit to our customers. All of our software and AI Agents are free - we charge a % of revenue we deliver for our customers. Each of our 10+ core AI Agents help improve their revenue by 5-20%. This is the ultimate outcome-based pricing, only possible when you own the entire end-to-end system and all the agents yourself.

We believe Wonderly has the potential to be a $100B - $1T outcome. The market is massive: home service businesses across North America (a $2T market). Construction, HVAC, roofing businesses, and the long tail of local businesses that do not have the time or capabilities to make a best-in-class lead acquisition, sales process, and back office ops.

We are not starting from zero. We have the team, capital, product velocity, and hard-won experience of people who have already built something sizable.

We’d love to tell you more about Wonderly via a private meeting, and why we have PMF.

The Role

We need a VP of Growth who can build and own the marketing engine for Wonderly.

Wonderly has gone 0 → 1, we now need 1 → 100

This is not a classic VP Growth role where you inherit a clean team, a mature budget, and a stable playbook. You’ll be stepping into a company that moves fast, changes direction dramatically to find even better GTM opportunities, and expects marketing to lead initiatives company-wide, not just follow with brand, PR, and content. Marketing explicitly drives revenue here.

You won’t have a fixed lane. Instead you’ll find the highest-leverage growth problem, solve it, hire out a team to scale it when needed, and move to the next one. Some examples include:

  • Paid and organic acquisition across many channels (Meta, Google, Youtube, Tik Tok, Reddit…etc). For many channels, we still need to go from 0 → 1, and you need to figure it out.

  • Landing pages. Positioning. SEO. Lifecycle. Email deliverability. Attribution. Funnel analytics. Product launches. Creative testing. OOH. Website conversion. Data quality and reporting. Affiliate and partnerships. BDR/SDRs cold calling. Sales enablement. Whatever moves the number.

  • Some weeks that means scaling Meta and Google campaigns. Some weeks it means getting Tik Tok and Youtube from 0 → 1. Some weeks it means talking to dozens of influencers. Some weeks it means rewriting the homepage because the positioning is wrong. Some weeks it means figuring out why Google hasn’t indexed the product pages. Some weeks it means fixing events for lifecycle email deliverability. Some weeks it means building a SEO acquisition strategy for landscapers, remodelers, roofers, or other service businesses. You should be comfortable getting deep into the work. You may need to inspect events in Segment or Amplitude. You may need to check DNS records, debug tracking, review ad account structure, talk to customers, or write a product spec. You’re a member of the leadership team but you are not above any of it.

If you want to build the marketing engine for a company taking a serious swing at a trillion-dollar market in North America, this is it.

What You’ll Own

You’ll own marketing performance for Wonderly, including:

  • Positioning and messaging for Wonderly’s core products

  • Paid acquisition across large channels like Meta, Google, Youtube, Tik Tok, etc.

  • Influencer strategy and organic content.

  • Landing pages, website conversion, and funnel testing

  • SEO strategy, indexing, content, and programmatic growth opportunities

  • Lifecycle marketing across activation, onboarding, retention, and reactivation

  • Attribution, analytics, and reporting

  • Creative testing and ad iteration

  • Local-market and vertical-specific growth experiments

  • Sales and customer-facing enablement when needed

  • Hiring, managing, and developing the marketing team as the function scales

You do not need to be the world’s best specialist in every one of these areas. But you do need to be dangerous in all of them. And if you haven’t touched a channel - that’s completely fine; you need to be confident in your ability to learn and become an expert in any channel in a short amount of time. You should know enough to diagnose problems, make decisions, hire well, manage specialists, and personally step in when something important is broken.

Backgrounds That Tend to Work

People from these backgrounds tend to thrive:

  • Founders or early employees who have had to build the whole go-to-market machine

  • Quant traders who are great at coming up with new/unique ideas, strategies, and executing these ideas.

  • Growth leaders at fast-moving B2B AI/SaaS companies

Backgrounds we care less about:

  • Big-company marketing roles where success meant managing agencies and approving plans

  • Brand-only roles disconnected from revenue

What matters more than the resume:

  • You think clearly from first principles

  • You are very resourceful and can become an expert in any topic fast

  • You make decisions with incomplete information

  • You are comfortable with messy data

  • You can write and you’re fast with numbers in a business context

  • You can work with engineers

  • You have strong taste, but you are not closed-minded

Expectations

This is a high-output and company-defining role.

You should expect:

  • Real ownership from day one

  • Direct accountability for growth numbers

  • Daily visibility into performance

  • Management of a team already in place

  • Regular in-person work sessions and hacker houses

  • A team that values speed, clarity, and ownership

Compensation
  • $400,000 - $800,000 in total compensation (split roughly evenly between base salary and equity).

  • Remote, North America

Wonderly is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities. We do not discriminate based on gender identity, race, ancestry, disability, religion, sexual orientation, pregnancy status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We welcome and encourage all qualified candidates to apply for our job openings.
