YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.
Help lead the execution of all investment-grade bond transactions, including insight and color on commercial paper, hybrids, and other products.
Provide key insight regarding pricing levels to issuers based on investor demand, relative value analysis, secondary market performance, market dynamics, and structural considerations.
Manage internal and external book building processes on appropriate systems which includes investor analysis, allocation strategy, transaction statistics, and post-deal insight.
Maintain a keen awareness of macro drivers, IG spreads, credit curves, depth of the market, and secondary trading flows.
Communicate and maintain a strong partnership with sales and trading to gather investor feedback, assess market technicals and communicate actionable market intelligence to issuers and internal stakeholders.
Build senior-level relationships with corporate Treasury teams, C-suite executives, and key institutional investors, which includes analyst teams.
Foster a competitive awareness of our brand as it relates to all phases of IG deals.
Willingness to partner with internal senior leadership on strategy, areas of strength, and development of the platform.
Support in underwriting, proper risk management, adherence to compliance, confidentiality, and information barrier requirements across all workstreams.
Collaborate in developing high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant software programs.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
7-10 years of total relevant debt capital markets or syndicate-related experience, including prior Associate-level responsibilities; internal promotion candidates typically have 3–5 total years’ experience.
Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate, and close complex financial transactions.
Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
Strong relationship building skills.
Strong understanding of investment-grade credit fundamentals, relative value analysis and fixed-income market dynamics.
The ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside our organization.
Expertise in one or more industries.
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses (or ability to maintain/obtain within company policy).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong client-facing communication skills; capable of leading portions of meetings, managing expectations, and delivering concise updates.
Deep familiarity with debt capital markets transaction processes, prospectus documentation, syndicate mechanics and securities issuance procedures
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality; sets standards for accuracy, consistency, and presentation.
Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor junior talent and to foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
Fluency with financial databases and platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, CreditSights).
SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:
Successful candidates will demonstrate a higher degree of proficiency (typically from 5-7 years of practical experience or advanced academic exposure) across the following areas:
Execution Leadership: Anticipate roadblocks, manage critical paths, and ensure on-time, on-quality delivery across complex engagements.
Client Impact: Elevate client dialogue with insights on pricing, investor demand/market technicals, issuance strategy, and market dynamics.
Commercial Acumen: Support origination with idea generation through market insights, investor feedback, and identification of cross-sell opportunities across the platform.
Team Building: Develop junior talent through structured feedback, training moments, and role-modeling of best practices.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational, reputational, and compliance risks.

Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentive compensation is combined with either a base salary or a draw to determine total cash compensation, and incentive compensation is based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
