Job Description:

The VP, Analytics manages a large, cross-client analytics team while demonstrating industry leading capabilities, both strategically and

operationally. This person takes ultimate responsibility for all work done by their team and for ensuring successful client delivery. He/she/they are also responsible for establishing, implementing and advocating vision/strategy (nationally and locally) for the team and for promoting excellence within the discipline.

Job responsibilities:

•Leads a cross-functional team performing and delivering data requirements, dashboards, custom and ad hoc analyses (advertising performance, website analytics, survey design/analysis, ROI modeling, cross channel analysis).

•Understands the client’s business and develops innovative problem-solving approaches; presents deliverables that articulate business value/impact.

•Steward development of measurement strategies, learning agendas and roadmaps with input from internal stakeholders.

•Empowers direct reports to own their client, relationships, and projects.

•Maintains positive, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and clients.

•Acts as the senior most point of contact point of contact for Marketing Effectiveness, adapting to business challenges with agility and direction.

•Exhibits strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills.

•Leads new business efforts to enable business growth and development (new and existing accounts).

•Leads (and is the voice of) local/national department initiatives, elevating the work, providing training, knowledge sharing, and best practices. 

•Interacts with leadership/management teams; crafts and implements the vision.

•Provides thought leadership internally and for clients.

•Authors white papers, POVs and other industry thought capital; Functions as SME in a domain (mobile, performance marketing, ecommerce, web analytics or social).

•Manages performance and career growth of junior team members and assists your junior people managers

•Recruits/retains high-performing individuals.
 

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science or related quantitative field

•Master's degree preferred

•12+ years in a quantitative business environment

•6+ years in marketing analytics with knowledge of the media planning process

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings in simple terms

•Strong organizational skills, political instincts, and proven-leadership ability

•Advanced media measurement capabilities (i.e.MMM, MTA), and planning A/B and Match Market testing

•Familiarity with MMPs and site analytics: Adobe and Kochava experience is preferred

•Demonstrates understanding of media planning and buying with a focus on media measurement and digital tracking including limitations and advantages

•Experience in data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Datorama)

•Advanced in SQL, Python, or R

•Advanced MS Office Skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
 

The annual base salary range for this position is $136,000-$220,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.  Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
