We help entrepreneurs and small businesses build, manage, and grow their digital presence. As AI reshapes how businesses build, discover, operate, and engage with customers, we are evolving our platforms and partnerships to help define the next generation of technology for SMBs.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a senior strategic leader to build and drive Newfold’s ecosystem of technology, product, and strategic partnerships.

The Vice President / Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will identify emerging technologies, platforms, and companies that can meaningfully expand Newfold’s products, capabilities, channels, and customer value.

This leader will engage with founders, CEOs, product executives, and technology leaders across cloud, AI, infrastructure, developer platforms, commerce, security, and the broader SMB technology ecosystem. They will work closely with Newfold’s Product, Engineering, Strategy, Marketing, and executive teams to turn strategic relationships into integrated products, new customer experiences, differentiated capabilities, and new growth opportunities.

The role reports directly to the CMO and requires a unique combination of technology curiosity, product and solution mindset, strategic business development, executive relationship building, and commercial judgment.

What You’ll Do & How You’ll Make Your Mark

Shape Our Strategic Partnership Ecosystem

  • Define and execute a multi-year strategic partnerships and business development strategy aligned with Newfold’s product and growth priorities.
  • Identify emerging companies, technologies, and ecosystem shifts that could create strategic advantage for Newfold and its customers.
  • Build relationships and a strong external network with founders, CEOs, product leaders, investors, and technology executives at leading and emerging companies across AI, infrastructure, cloud, developer platforms, commerce, security, identity, productivity, and SMB technology.
  • Continuously assess where Newfold should build, partner, integrate, white-label, distribute, or invest.

Build Product and Technology Partnerships

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering leaders to identify partnership opportunities that accelerate the product roadmap or introduce differentiated customer capabilities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that create meaningful integrations, embedded experiences, platform capabilities, and new customer value.
  • Translate emerging technologies and ecosystem developments into practical solutions and opportunities for Newfold’s millions of SMB customers.
  • Partner with R&D teams to move quickly from strategic concept to proof of concept, integration, and scaled customer experience.
  • Build joint product roadmaps with strategic technology partners where appropriate.
  • Help Newfold become the preferred infrastructure, distribution, and growth partner for emerging AI and technology companies serving SMBs.

Connect the Ecosystem to Newfold

  • Act as a bridge between external innovation and Newfold’s internal teams.
  • Ensure strategic partnerships move beyond announcements and contracts into real products, customer experiences, and measurable business impact.

Create New Strategic Growth Opportunities

  • Identify new business models, distribution opportunities, platform partnerships, and ecosystem plays that expand Newfold’s addressable market.
  • Develop partnerships that create new products, customer acquisition channels, embedded distribution, or differentiated platform capabilities.
  • Structure and negotiate complex strategic agreements, including technology partnerships, commercial frameworks, licensing, white-label arrangements, and joint ventures.
  • Evaluate strategic opportunities based on customer value, competitive differentiation, economic potential, and long-term strategic relevance.
  • Work with Corporate Development and Strategy where partnerships may evolve into investments, acquisitions, or broader strategic relationships.

Own Executive Partner Relationships

  • Serve as a senior executive relationship owner for Newfold’s most important strategic technology partners.
  • Lead strategic discussions, executive business reviews, and joint planning with key partners.
  • Represent Newfold at technology, AI, cloud, and industry events.
  • Develop Newfold’s reputation as a company that emerging technology platforms want to build and partner with.

Build the Strategic Partnerships Function

  • Assess the organizational capabilities and resources required to execute the strategic partnerships agenda and recommend the appropriate team structure, roles, and investment needed to scale the function.
  • Establish the operating model, priorities, and capabilities for Newfold’s strategic partnerships and business development organization.
  • Build and lead a small, high-impact team focused on strategic technology and product partnerships.
  • Develop frameworks for identifying, evaluating, prioritizing, and activating strategic partnerships.
  • Create a culture of curiosity, speed, external orientation, and execution.

Who You Are & What You’ll Need to Succeed

Experience & Background

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience across product, technology, strategic partnerships, business development, corporate strategy, general management, venture capital, private equity, or technology ecosystem roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify emerging technology trends and translate them into new products, customer experiences, platform capabilities, or business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of AI, cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, SaaS, commerce, security, identity, or digital ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across Product, Engineering, Strategy, and commercial teams to move from idea to partnership to scaled execution.
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex technology, product, licensing, platform, or strategic agreements is strongly preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience in Product or Technology, as a General Manager, or in Strategic Partnerships or Business Development is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Curiosity: You are constantly looking around corners. You understand where technology and customer behavior are moving and actively seek out the companies shaping that future.
  • Product & Technology Mindset: You think beyond contracts and revenue targets. You understand how technology creates customer value, and your first question is often, “What could we build or create together?”
  • Ecosystem Builder: You understand how platforms, developers, technology companies, and distribution ecosystems create compounding value.
  • Commercial Judgment: You can structure creative partnerships that balance strategic value, customer impact, economics, and long-term optionality.
  • Bias for Action: You move quickly from idea to conversation, from conversation to opportunity, and from opportunity to execution.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is measured by partner-sourced sales pipeline:

  • New strategic products, solutions, and customer capabilities launched through partnerships.
  • Emerging technology companies choosing Newfold as a strategic partner.
  • New distribution and platform opportunities created.
  • Meaningful strategic relationships established with companies shaping AI, infrastructure, cloud, commerce, security, identity, and SMB technology.
  • Partnerships translating into measurable customer value, competitive differentiation, and long-term growth.
  • Newfold consistently identifying and acting on important ecosystem shifts before they become obvious.
