Position Summary:
The Wax Specialist is a licensed service professional who delivers high-quality body hair removal services while creating a warm, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. As an expert in skin and waxing services, the Wax Specialist plays a key role in driving guest retention, product sales, and overall business performance. This role requires a passion for skincare, a commitment to hygiene and safety, and a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences aligned with established standards.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Guest Experience & Service Standards

  • Greet every guest with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm.
  • Perform waxing services in accordance with established protocols, timing standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Educate guests on post-wax care, product recommendations, service frequency, and package savings opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.

Sales & Goal Achievement

  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual service sales, rebooking, and product sales goals while contributing to overall business performance targets.
  • Leverage product knowledge and consultative selling techniques to enhance guest experience and retention.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of products and service offerings.
  • Recommend and promote appropriate skincare products and service packages.

Team Collaboration & Culture

  • Support team members and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and team meetings.
  • Uphold company values and service standards while modeling best practices in guest experience.

Hygiene & Safety

  • Adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure guest and team safety.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized treatment room at all times.
  • Follow all local and state licensing laws and regulations regarding sanitation, health, and safety.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Passion for beauty, wellness, and skincare
  • Energetic, positive, and professional demeanor

Education/Experience

  • Must hold a current state esthetician or cosmetology license
  • Previous waxing experience preferred but not required

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends
  • Travel requirements: As required
