This is a 12-week seasonal summer internship in a hybrid Chicago work environment.

Develop and configure solutions in the Archer platform supporting Controls Assurance and Risk Management. Assess the current state of PolicyTech and Apparity, document GRC tools, and apply knowledge of software development, change management, system administration, quality assurance, databases, workflow automation, governance, access control, debugging, performance tuning, and requirements documentation.

Supports AWS cloud security guardrails, IAM controls, Open Policy Agent policies, governance automation, and FinOps tooling. Responsibilities include building monitoring and remediation tools, developing cost anomaly detection and cleanup automation, creating financial operations dashboards, and contributing to policy-as-code and tagging or chargeback solutions. The intern works on real platform engineering backlog items while developing cloud security and cost management expertise.

Manage and support privileged access management infrastructure, including HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, PKI, and related systems. Provide operational support, troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, secrets lifecycle management, and user assistance. Design security architecture, enforce security-as-code practices, develop integrations and platform enhancements, and apply AI-based capabilities to improve detection and remediation. Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

Supports and drives IT, security, and enterprise regulatory compliance programs in a highly regulated financial environment. Advises business units on regulatory obligations, risk and control frameworks, remediation plans, audits, examinations, policies, procedures, and controls. Monitors regulatory changes, evaluates new products and technology initiatives, prepares compliance reports, and partners with internal control functions, auditors, regulators, and business stakeholders. The role also supports continuous improvements across IT and Security Services compliance.

The Associate Principal of Security Engineering will manage privileged access systems, implement AI-based security, and enhance security architecture while providing support and leadership in cybersecurity initiatives.

Provide 24x7 operational support and lifecycle management for privileged access systems (CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, PKI/HSMs). Implement AI-based security capabilities, maintain CI/CD/cloud integrations (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins), automate with scripting, troubleshoot incidents, apply security architecture principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform reliability and user experience.

Lead security governance for policy, procedure, standards, and control lifecycle aligned to NIST CSF. Support regulatory and internal audit remediation, manage governance programs and working groups, advise senior stakeholders, and oversee responses to third-party security requests. Drive continuous improvement of controls, compliance posture, and self-testing of Security Services.

The Principal, Patching and Vulnerability Management Coordinator oversees patching and vulnerability management across on-premises and AWS environments, ensuring security, leading program execution, and fostering team development.
