Build and maintain Ruby-based services and customer-facing trading applications within a distributed architecture. Own the performance, availability, backup, recovery, upgrades, observability, and scaling of high-throughput PostgreSQL clusters across on-premises and Amazon RDS environments. Responsibilities include query and index tuning, Patroni failover management, restore verification, migration reviews, automation, incident response, disaster recovery, documentation, and collaboration with Ruby and Java development teams.

Design, build, operate, and own backend systems supporting order handling, ledgers, and settlement. Partner with product and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver features, provide technical leadership and mentorship, conduct high-quality code reviews, establish engineering standards, troubleshoot production issues, evaluate technologies, and participate in on-call operations.
