Syntellis Performance Solutions announced Wednesday that it will open its new headquarters in Chicago’s Fulton Market neighborhood in the spring of 2022.

Syntellis was formed last year when Kaufman, Hall & Associates spun out its software division to create a new standalone company called Syntellis — a fusion of the words “synthesis” and “intelligence.”

Syntellis currently shares an office space with Kaufman Hall in Chicago. But the new Fulton Market location at 320 N. Sangamon St. will be the company’s first office space as a separate entity.

Syntellis develops enterprise performance management software, data and analytics solutions for healthcare, higher education and financial institutions.

The company has 300 employees across the country, with about 25 percent of the team based in Chicago. Syntellis will continue to offer flexible and remote work arrangements for its employees. But Chicago’s central location will provide a middle ground for a “hub and spoke” model of distributed work.

Syntellis CEO Flint Brenton said in a statement that the new office space will provide a gathering place for the team to collaborate. The building’s rooftop balcony will offer employees, customers, investors and business partners a sweeping view of the Chicago skyline.

“Even after a year and a half that’s been so challenging for everyone, Syntellis continues to grow and innovate, and we want our new headquarters to reflect our excitement and optimism about the future,” Brenton said.

In addition to Chicago’s geographic centrality, Syntellis also believes Chicago’s universities and startup scene will create a pipeline for tech and business talent.

“One of the reasons for choosing Chicago as a headquarters is the strong network of colleges and universities, and we look forward to tapping into that talent to help build our teams,” Syntellis’ Chief People Officer Kris Kildahl said in a statement. “We’ve found wonderful early career team members through campus hiring and internships, and we will continue fostering the abundance of talent in Chicago.”
