The restructuring of labor, business relations and supply chain management brought on by the pandemic has forced many manufacturers to adapt to keep afloat. While many companies have been resilient during this challenging time, a survey by Oxford Economics found that several U.S. manufacturers are still concerned with supply chain issues and client turnover.

To help manufacturers drive up sales and retain clients, In Mind Cloud, a SaaS software company based in Singapore and Munich, opened its first U.S. office in Chicago. It also launched its SaaS platform in the U.S. The platform increases revenue, reduces costs and improves sales efficiencies for manufacturers, according to the company.

In Mind Cloud’s software works by combining customer relationship management, cataloging and e-commerce into one platform. Through the CPQ, manufacturers are able to create pages for their products that can be easily updated. E-commerce features on the platform allow clients to purchase directly for the manufacturer’s website and the customer management feature helps the manufacturer keep track of orders.

“We feel the pain of our U.S. customers, who are increasingly frustrated with standard sales enablement software that is not made for the manufacturing industry,” Christian Cuske, In Mind Cloud CEO, said in a statement. “In Mind Cloud is ready to help U.S. manufacturers break free of the way that they currently do business and ensure they become easier to buy from.”

In Mind Cloud was founded in 2012 and has raised €20 million — roughly $21.8 million — across two funding rounds, according to Crunchbase

Recently, In Mind Cloud appointed Chicago native Dominic Starr as its director of sales of North America. Starr previously held executive roles at sales-i and Sprint before joining In Mind Cloud.

“Historically, the organization’s effort to deliver high-quality offers and ultimately products in manufacturing were manual, time-consuming, detail-driven and often siloed,” Starr said in a statement. “In 2022, these issues pose an unacceptable risk to margins, customer retention and market share. As manufacturers bulletproof their customer experience goals with a digital sales strategy, they nurture the customer journey from introduction all the way to forever.”
