Chicago is one of the most diversified cities in the U.S. making it the perfect place for the new office of Culture Amp, an HR platform that strives to help other companies diversify their workforce.

On Tuesday, the company announced it opened a new office in Chicago with plans to hire additional staff. In a release, Culture Amp stated its Chicago office would be a hybrid work environment for employees. According to the company, doing so will help foster better collaboration between employees, especially with new hires.

“Creating a better world of work is the companys core mission and the Chicago office will enable employees to further that mission,” read the release.

Culture Amp was founded in 2010 and empowers companies to retain a diverse workforce through tools like employee engagement, employee management and employee development. According to the company, its tools can create high-performing teams and are used by over 6,000 companies. Culture Amp is headquartered in Australia and has U.S. offices in New York, San Francisco and now Chicago.

“Chicago marks the perfect location not only because its close to many of our customers in the professional services, IT and manufacturing industries, but also strategically, it is one of the nations most exciting and rapidly growing tech hubs that will make our innovative leaders feel at home,” Reetika Motwane, vice president of North America for Culture Amp, said in a statement. “Its no surprise that some of the worlds largest technology brands are expanding in this market, and were excited to establish a larger presence in the city.”

To staff the new Chicago office, Culture Amp will also continue hiring with plans to increase its global headcount to over 1,100 employees later this year. Already this year, its North American sales team has grown 60 percent and about 30 percent of employees have moved internally within Culture Amp, according to the company. It is actively hiring across the country and has several openings listed on Built In.

To launch the Chicago office, Culture Amp will host a “science-themed” event on September 29 for employees and customers.
