Grainger, a broad line distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products based near Chicago, hosted its fifth annual Bucket Build. The community event for assembling disaster relief kits was held in partnership with ToolBank USA, YouthBuild Lake County and YouthBuild Waukegan.
Volunteers filled 4,000 five-gallon buckets with Grainger-provided cleaning supplies and hand tools during the event. The kits are intended to help households with cleanup, repairs and initial recovery efforts after natural disasters. ToolBank USA will distribute the kits following natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires and floods in cities such as Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Panama City, Tampa and San Juan.
