Lead actuarial support for a P&C insurance business unit, managing actuaries and delivering profitability reviews, pricing analyses, portfolio monitoring, large-account pricing recommendations, actuarial studies, and pricing tools. Partner with underwriting, business leaders, and predictive modeling teams to improve profitability, apply advanced analytics, guide strategic decisions, and influence business outcomes.

Manages complex executive assurance claims, including D&O, financial lines, private equity, transaction risk, and commercial crime matters. Investigates claims, evaluates coverage, liability, damages, reserves, and risk transfer issues, directs defense counsel, reviews legal materials and invoices, negotiates resolutions, prepares management reports, and maintains claim records. Requires collaboration with insureds, brokers, underwriters, counsel, and senior management, plus 15–20% travel for mediations, trials, and related proceedings.

Lead Arch Insurance North America’s Surety Underwriting Group by setting strategy, managing underwriting performance, driving profitable growth, developing talent, ensuring regulatory compliance, and representing the organization with customers, agents, brokers, and other stakeholders. Evaluate renewals, new business, actuarial trends, reinsurance, market opportunities, and product applications while optimizing resources across the business unit.

The Actuarial Director will lead a team in analyzing profitability, monitoring rates, conducting actuarial studies, and developing tools for pricing decisions.

Investigate, evaluate, document, and resolve low-complexity commercial first- and third-party insurance claims. Responsibilities include assessing coverage, liability, and damages; reviewing evidence; maintaining reserves; communicating with stakeholders; following regulatory requirements; and completing timely claim resolution actions.

Manage large-exposure complex general/auto liability and trucking claims, oversee TPAs, coordinate with underwriters and legal, perform coverage analysis, reserving, litigation and vendor management, negotiate settlements, attend mediations/trials, maintain adjuster licenses, train and audit TPA staff, and provide timely stakeholder reporting.

Provide legal counsel for private markets investments by negotiating LPAs, side letters, and investment management agreements; advise investment teams on compliance and regulatory risk; support fund operations, entity governance, and corporate housekeeping; build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and enhance the firms compliance program.
