Lead day-to-day operations for a new behavioral health treatment facility, overseeing patient intakes, staffing, scheduling, utilization review, admissions, discharges, census, retention, referral relationships, and patient experience. The Director will establish operational practices, support staff accountability, coordinate across clinical and admissions teams, resolve facility issues, and partner with leadership on performance and growth.

Leads operational performance across behavioral health treatment facilities in Massachusetts and Illinois, with potential Rhode Island involvement. The COO partners with facility directors and ownership to improve execution, ensure accountability, support licensing and compliance, implement programs and systems, strengthen staffing and admissions operations, and drive facility growth. The role requires direct behavioral healthcare operations experience, multi-site leadership, problem-solving, and approximately one week of travel per month.

Provides clinical and regulatory oversight for a continuing education program serving social workers and behavioral health professionals. Responsibilities include reviewing course materials, learning objectives, post-tests, pilot results, evaluations, grievances, and regulatory requirements; advising on course revisions and emerging topics; supporting ASWB, NBCC, and NAADAC reviews; and serving as the named Social Work Consultant. This remote independent contractor role requires approximately two to four hours monthly and an active unrestricted LCSW license.
