Lead global M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, and other complex transactions for Ciena’s Legal Department. Responsibilities include legal due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, transaction execution, closing, post-close integration, venture capital investments, commercial technology transactions, and process improvement using AI. The role partners with the Chief Strategy Office, legal leadership, executives, cross-functional teams, and external counsel.

Leads customer-facing service delivery projects across the full lifecycle, coordinating scope, schedules, resources, milestones, risks, budgets, and communications. Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, and field service bulletins while contributing to customer issue resolution and knowledge sharing.

Directs a global cloud networking sales engineering team supporting major customers across the Northwest region. Leads solution engineering, technical sales engagements, customer strategy, forecasting, product introductions, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, services, and product teams. Develops cloud networking solutions spanning software, routing, edge, optical, and data center interconnect technologies. Presents strategy reviews to senior management and travels at least 25%, including occasional international travel.

Designs and executes network test plans, supports optical and Ethernet network deployment, commissions Ciena equipment, provisions services, analyzes optical performance, troubleshoots issues, trains customers on network management systems, and produces technical documentation. The role provides onsite subject matter expertise at Scott AFB and supports network modernization, interoperability, and implementation across Layer 0 through Layer 2, with some Layer 3 responsibilities.

Designs, tests, implements, commissions, and supports Ciena optical and network solutions within customer legacy and greenfield environments. Develops test plans, validates interoperability and performance, provisions network services, troubleshoots optical issues, supports deployment, trains customers on network management systems, and produces configuration and testing documentation. The role is onsite at Fort Meade, requires an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, and includes travel up to 25%.

The Global Process Owner for S&OP leads the design and continuous improvement of the S&OP process, ensures collaboration across functions, and drives digital transformation and automation within the organization.

Onsite at Scott AFB, provide SME engineering for Ciena product integration: design and execute test plans, commission DWDM/SONET/TDM equipment, validate interoperability, perform lab pre-commissioning, train customers on Ciena NMS, troubleshoot and document configurations, and support network modernization. Requires active clearance and travel up to 25%.
