Lead global M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, and other complex transactions for Ciena’s Legal Department. Responsibilities include legal due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, transaction execution, closing, post-close integration, venture capital investments, commercial technology transactions, and process improvement using AI. The role partners with the Chief Strategy Office, legal leadership, executives, cross-functional teams, and external counsel.

Leads customer-facing service delivery projects across the full lifecycle, coordinating scope, schedules, resources, milestones, risks, budgets, and communications. The role manages cross-functional collaboration among customers, engineering, sales, finance, partners, and service delivery teams. It oversees network lifecycle activities including design, deployment, migration, and validation, while ensuring delivery commitments, customer outcomes, and financial objectives are met.

Provide remote and on-site technical support for Ciena telecommunications products, including on-call coverage. Diagnose complex network issues using debugging tools, lab research, and root cause analysis. Escalate incidents and communicate field concerns across Design, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Publications, and Training teams. Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, and field service bulletins while contributing to customer issue resolution and knowledge sharing.
