Develops and improves manufacturing processes for CNC-machined medical and aerospace parts. Responsibilities include quoting, manufacturing method development, CAD analysis, fixture design, inspection planning, quality verification, bills of material, tooling and gage selection, feasibility reviews, production efficiency analysis, subcontractor coordination, and communication of production issues. Works closely with CNC machinists, programmers, purchasing, scheduling, sales, engineering, and quality teams in a shop environment.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, including 3-axis, 5-axis, horizontal, and dual-spindle machines. Manipulate G-code, adjust work and tool offsets, touch off and indicate tools, and inspect medical-device parts using blueprints and GD&T. Meet efficiency standards, maintain consistent critical dimensions, follow procedures, support process improvements, and work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.

Entry-level CNC support team member working in areas such as saw, tool crib, assembly, polishing, maintenance, or shipping. Successful employees may enter a nine-week CNC training bootcamp and progress into machinist roles supporting lathe, mill, or EDM operations. The role requires learning enthusiasm, process improvement, reliable attendance, physical stamina, and safe work in a metalworking shop environment.
