What's It Like to Work at EDGE?
EDGE Employee Perspectives
What’s it like to work on the marketing team at your company?
Working at EDGE is one of those rare opportunities where the work actually matters beyond the bottom line. Our marketing team is small, which means everyone carries real responsibility. There's no siloed ownership or endless committee reviews. If you identify an opportunity, you can own it from concept to launch. We're in fintech, so the subject matter has real depth. You're working with data, regulation and a product that genuinely helps lenders make better decisions for borrowers who've been underserved by traditional credit systems. The work rewards people with a genuine intellectual curiosity about how financial systems operate and why credit access matters. The pace is fast, the feedback loop is tight and you have to be comfortable moving between technical concepts and clear, accessible messaging, sometimes in the same afternoon.
How does your team shape the way customers, candidates or the market understand your brand?
EDGE is doing something genuinely new: Building the infrastructure for cashflow-based credit assessment at bureau scale. That's a complex idea to explain to a market that's been credit-score-native for decades. Our job in marketing is to make the case for why cashflow data tells a richer story than a bureau snapshot and to do it in a way that's credible to lenders, compelling to partners and clear to the broader fintech ecosystem. We use a mix of original research, thought leadership, conference presence and product-specific content to build that credibility over time. The brand work isn't about awareness for its own sake. It's about earning trust in a space where trust is the product.
What should candidates know about the strategy, creativity or collaboration behind marketing work at your company?
The strategy here is genuinely data-driven. We publish our own research and use it to anchor every campaign and content decision. That means marketers at EDGE need to be comfortable with nuance, because we're not selling a simple consumer app; we're making the case for a shift in how the lending industry thinks about risk. Creatively, the constraint is actually energizing: our brand is clean, precise and authoritative and the challenge is finding ways to make complex ideas feel accessible without losing accuracy. You're working closely with product, sales and leadership and the team is small enough that your work is visible and your voice is heard. If you want to understand a space deeply and build marketing that actually moves a market, EDGE is a great place to do that.
